Quick answers to common questions. Each answer links to the full page, and the policy ID so you can find the formal document. If an answer here disagrees with a policy, the policy wins.
People and leave
How many days of annual leave do I get? 22 days a year under POL-HR-001 version 2 (effective 2026-01-01). You can carry over up to 5 days. See Leave and remote work.
How much sick leave and parental leave is there? Sick leave is 10 days a year; parental leave is 16 weeks. See Benefits overview.
How many days can I work from home? Up to 3 days a week, with core hours 10:00 to 15:00 local time (POL-HR-004).
How long does onboarding take? IT provisions your accounts, equipment and access in the first day, and all onboarding must be complete within 10 working days. See New hire onboarding.
IT
What are the password rules? At least 14 characters, MFA mandatory for everyone, and no forced rotation except after a suspected compromise (POL-IT-003 v2). See Password manager and MFA.
How quickly is access granted? Within 1 business day of an approved request, and access is reviewed every 6 months (SOP-IT-003). See Request access.
How fast must a P1 incident be acknowledged? Within 15 minutes, with a bridge call opened (SOP-001 v2). See Report an incident.
How long are backups kept? Daily backups are kept for 35 days and restores are tested every quarter (SOP-IT-002).
Finance
What is the meal cap on business trips? $75 per day, and the hotel cap is $220 per night (POL-FIN-002 v2). The old $60 figure on the Expenses quick guide (old draft) is superseded. See Submit expenses.
Who approves my expense claim? Your manager up to $1,000; the Finance Controller from $1,001 to $5,000; the CFO above $5,000.
When do I need three quotes? Above $10,000. The Procurement Lead approves purchases up to $25,000 (POL-FIN-005). See Raise a purchase request.
Contracts and customers
Who approves a contract? It depends on total value: under $50,000 the Head of Sales; $50,000 to $250,000 the VP Delivery and General Counsel; over $250,000 the CEO, CFO and General Counsel (POL-LEG-001). See SOW process.
How long does Acme have to accept a deliverable? 10 business days (SOW-ACME-01). See Deliverable acceptance and Acme Corp.
